The drum machine that inspired the IconDrum has left an indelible mark on the soundscape of popular music, crafting the rhythmic foundation of timeless tracks across a spectrum of genres.
From the unmistakable pulse of Prince's "1999" and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" to the iconic beat driving The Human League’s "Fascination", the LinnDrum defined an era. Its rhythms laid the foundation for a-ha’s "Take On Me," Madonna’s "Lucky Star," and Billy Idol’s "Eyes Without a Face," shaping the unmistakable sound of the '80s. Even Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" and Stevie Nicks’ "Stand Back" owe their groove to this iconic drum machine.
We’ve meticulously included all original LinnDrum sounds, delivering the unique character that propelled these classic tracks. The IconDrum also offers a wide array of carefully crafted alternatives, expanding the classic sound set to inspire both nostalgic recreations and fresh, innovative productions.
