Tune Knob

This sets the tune of each layer +/- 12 semitones. This is a stepped parameter, for finer control use the Detune knob. Speaking of which…

Detune Knob

This sets the fine tune range for the selected Layer from between +50 and -50 Cents. Layer A and Layer B can have independent Detune settings.

Half-speed Button

Some users of the original instrument, such Mike Pinder, used half-speed to get a deeper, fuller sound from their tape collection. This effectively drops the pitch by an octave and is useful in the context of the M-Tron Pro for helping create some fresh and distinctive tones.

Reverse Button

Selecting this reverses the selected tape bank and plays from end to beginning. Wonderful for creating things like backwards Pianos and Guitars. Use in conjunction with the Attack Start slider to fine-tune the reverse time.

Wow Knob

Sets the depth, or amount, of tape wow effect. Turning this dial up will progressively increase the amount of pitch modulation you hear.

Wow Rate

Sets the centre rate of the Wow effect. From 0.1HZ to 4Hz.

Flutter Knob

Sets the depth, or amount, of tape flutter effect. Turning this dial up will progressively increase the amount of pitch modulation you hear.

Flutter Rate

Sets the centre rate of the Flutter effect. From 10Hz to 70Hz.

Instability Knob

This randomises the wow and flutter rates subtly to create complex instabilities in the tape’s pitch.
