Click the Cog icon on the UI to open the settings window. Or press cmd/ctrl-comma.

Audio/MIDI Settings (Standalone Only)

In the standalone application the top section of the settings window is where you can choose your audio output and MIDI input device settings.

Instrument Settings

The rest of the settings window is where you can change various aspects of Novation Bass Station’s function. These settings will apply across all formats and instances.

Allow tail-off on host transport stop

On - Envelope release tails will continue after you press stop on your host DAW.

Off - Envelope release tails will stop after you press stop on your host DAW

<aside> ⚠️ Reverb and delay repeats will always continue after stopping the host.

Internal buffer size

This sets the fidelity of parameter modulation and control. Lower settings will provide smoother modulations but will use up more of your CPU resources. Higher settings use less CPU but you may hear some subtle audio artefacts whilst modulating or manually moving controls under certain conditions.

Patch browser font scale

Allows you to increase the size of the text in the preset browser.

Tooltip timeout length (seconds)

Choose how long a tooltip displaying the parameter value or macro offset amount will remain visible in the display window after you finished moving it. Useful when you want to manually type a desired value into the tooltip.

Macro amount adjustment modifier

Choose the best ergonomic method for you to control macro amount values.

Right-click - Default. Right-click and drag.

Cmd/Ctrl - Command on Mac, Control on PC.

Alt* - Hold alt and drag

Smooth VCO tune adjustment modifier

Choose the method best suited for you to use to control smooth VCO tune.

Cmd/Ctrl - Default. Command on Mac, Control on PC.

Alt* - Hold alt and drag.

Right-click - Right-click and drag.

<aside> ⚠️ * Not all DAWs pass the Alt key on to the plugin, notably Cubase and Pro Tools. So this key modifier won’t work in those DAWs.
