Oddity 3 features a brand new Patch Management system because, let’s face it, the original method was somewhat arcane when it came to saving patches.

Opening and Closing

To open Oddity3’s Patch Browser, simply click on the Browse button to the left of the main parameter display.

To close the Patch Browser either click on the Close button in the Patch Browser, or click on the Browse button again. Alternatively, double-click a patch to load it and close the browser immediately.

Macro Knobs

The four knobs in the browser mirror the four Macro knobs to the right of the Keyboard and allow quick access to selected controls for each patch. See Macros for more on this.

Patch List

The patch list on the right of the screen displays the patches that match the filtering options selected in the four filter columns. If you want to view every patch without any filtering, simply select ALL in each of the filtering columns.

To load a patch, click on its name in patch in this list! Double-clicking the patch will load it and close the browser in one action.

Right clicking a patch in this list provides an option to delete the patch, which will move the patch file to the trash bin and remove it from the browser. This menu also allows you to view the patch file stored on your computer.

Alpha Patches

There are 40 ‘alpha’ patches, marked with the alpha symbol () next to their name.

These are the patches that our patch designers think are the best representation of Oddity3’s capabilities. They are also the only patches that can be accessed in the demo version of Oddity 3. When you first load Oddity3, these patches will be sorted to the top of the patch list.

Favourite Icon

Next to each patch name is a heart icon. Click it to mark this patch as a favourite. You can then choose to sort the patches by favourites so they always come to the top of your patch filter or search results.

By default the browser displays Alpha patches first and then all other patches in alphabetical order.

Use the sort menu to view patches in true alphabetical order, reverse alphabetical order or view by favourites first. Your sort preference will be remembered.
