The control and switches in the first column, labelled “LFO”, are used to select the low-frequency oscillator characteristics. The controls and switches in the other two columns, labelled “DEST 1” and “DEST 2”, are used to select amounts and destinations of the LFO’s modulations.
This control determines how fast the Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) oscillates. It ranges between 1/128th note to 4 bars, or 0.063 to 32 Hertz, depending on the status of the sync icon.
This icon activates the Sync mode.
The LFO rate is synchronised to host DAW’s tempo and given in beats when the Sync icon is illuminated. In standalone mode, the tempo is set in the footer bar.
When off, the LFO rate is not synchronised and is given in hertz.
When switched on, the sine switch selects the sine wave modulation from the LFO. This results in a smooth rising and falling of pitch during frequency modulation or smooth changing of the pulse width during pulse width modulation.
When switched on, the square switch selects the square wave modulation from the LFO. This produces a discrete downward interval during frequency modulation or a discrete pulse width during pulse width modulation.
When switched on, the S/H switch selects a random output from the LFO. This produces a sequence of random pitches during frequency modulation or a sequence of random pulse widths during pulse width modulation
This control determines the amount of selected LFO waveform to be sent to modulate the frequency of Oscillator 1, Oscillator 2 and/or the Filter, as controlled by the destination switches below it.
When on, this switch selects Oscillator 1 as a destination for Dest 1 modulation. The Dest 1 Depth Control determines the amount of modulation by the selected LFO waveform.
When on, this switch selects Oscillator 2 as a destination for Dest 1 modulation. The Dest 1 Depth Control determines the amount of modulation by the selected LFO waveform.
