This control affects the overall output volume of the OB-X. This parameter is saved with the patch.
When this control is moved left or right of the centre, all oscillators are tuned down or up. This allows the Oberheim OB-X to be tuned to another instrument. In the centre position, the instrument will be tuned to the tuning reference on the left hand side of the footer (A-440 by default). The tune value can be set from -12 to +12 semitones. By default, it is set by increment of 1 semitone. Fine values can be accessed on a Mac by pressing cmd, and on a PC by pressing control while turning the knob.
These switches have three positions: UP OCTAVE, normal, and DOWN OCTAVE. This transposes the oscillators up or down one octave from its their range.
<aside> 💡 In a change away from the OB-X hardware, filter tracking is not affected by these switches. Please use the transpose function on your MIDI controller for this subtle variation.

The Vintage Knob de-calibrates a raft of parameters to give you the option in between a tightly tuned and meticulously calibrated Oberheim OB-X, or one where specific parameters are a little awry.
