With Host Sync disabled, The initially selected Rhythm will determine what will show in the Accompaniments drop down menu. At the top of the list you will see the Accompaniments that correspond to the loaded Rhythm. After this you will see only chromatic instrument tape-banks, or tape-banks that adhere to the same key signature of the initially loaded Rhythm.

With Host Sync enabled, all Accompaniments will show.

Lock Lights

There are two Lock-Lights for each Rhythm/ Accompaniment manual, one for Rhythms and one for Accompaniments.

Generally, a Rhythm will be loaded first with all Accompaniments matching the key and tempo of theloaded Rhythm being available for loading from the Accompaniments window. In this instance, Rhythm Lock will be ON.

Activating the Accompaniment Lock-Light locks the loaded Accompaniment and allows all Rhythms matching the same key to be available for loading in the Rhythms window.

With Host Sync on, all Lock Lights remain on and every Rhythm and Accompaniment, regardless of station, can be loaded. Tempos of the loaded tape-banks will now be matched to the DAW. But the musical key of the loaded tape-banks will remain so don’t be surprised if you play mismatched rhythms and accompaniments.

In R/A mode it’s also possible to trigger both manuals at the same time from a single 35 note keyboard (or on-screen keys) using M-Tron MkII’s Parallel Triggering feature*. Parallel Triggering options are set ‘under the hood’ via the MIDI CC button. With one of the Parallel Triggering options set, it’s possible to trigger the sounds of both left and right manuals simultaneously. For example, playing middle C on the left manual will also trigger middle C on the right manual.

*Parallel Triggering is not available when the M-Tron MkII right manual is set to Leads.
