Poly, Mono, Legato Switches

Changes OB-EZ between Polyphonic, Monophonic & Monophonic Legato keyboard modes.

• Polyphonic Mode is used when you want to play OB-EZ Polyphonically.
• Monophonic Mode is used when you want the Filter and Amplitude Envelopes to re- trigger for each note on.
• Legato means ‘tied together’ and Legato Mode is used when you do not want the Filter and Amplitude Envelopes to re-trigger when playing a note while another one is held. This mode, combined with the correct playing technique achieves a smooth, transition from note to note.

Unison Switch

Arguably the most magnificent mode on both the original Oberheim 8-Voice and OB-EZ. This triggers all voices from a single note-on.

Global Controls

Portamento Knob

Sets the glide time between notes. Notes glide from the previous note played by each SEM.

Detune Amount Knob

The Detune function detunes each of the 8 voice’s oscillators slightly, so that each has its own distinct tuning variant.

Vintage Knob

The Vintage Knob parameter was developed in conjunction with Tom Oberheim and Marcus Ryle and de-calibrates a raft of parameters to create predictable and consistent differences between each voice. This emulates the behaviour of a hardware 8-Voice where calibration differences exist between each voice.
