There are 17 different configurations that TVS Pro can operate in. The mode screen gives access to a menu to select the current mode as well as display a visual guide.

There are also 17 simple patches included in the Getting Started collection to help guide you through each of these modes.

Legato Button

Also on the screen is the global legato button which will determine if envelopes retrigger during legato playing for all 17 modes.

<aside> ⚠️

Note that SEM’s envelopes retrigger from their current value, not zero. So if you retrigger an envelope during it’s early release stage (governed by the decay knob), the note can still sound legato as it’s staring from quite high up.

Key Modes

Mono SEM 1 & 2

The entire keyboard controls either SEM 1 or SEM 2.

Unison

The entire keyboard controls both SEM 1 and SEM 2 together.

Split

Below the split change point the keyboard controls SEM 1. Above the split point the keyboard controls SEM 2.

Continuous

Successive notes alternate between SEM 1 and SEM2. In this mode a 3rd note will steal from the first and a 4th from the second. It also produces some interesting effects when combined with legato.

Poly Priority SEM 1 and 2

In these modes notes will play the selected SEM, unless that SEM is already in use. Then it’ll play the other one. Additional notes will steal from the second note.

This mode is great for playing long bass notes (on the first SEM) and shorter lead lines, whilst the bass note is held, on the second.
