Global settings allow you to define the broader aspects of your patch, such as those relating to overall pitch, panning and voicing.

Voice Mode

MAP has three Voice Modes:

Voice Count

The Voice Count parameter determines the number of voices used for the Poly Voice Modes or Mono Unison function. It ranges from a single voice to 16 voices.

PB (Pitch Bend) Range

The Pitch Bend parameter determines the range, in semitones, of the pitch pend wheel when applied to MAP. It ranges from +-2 semitones to +-48 semitones for extreme pitch modulation. Unusually this parameter can be modulated, allowing extra expressivity of the pitch bend when used in conjunction with a source such as velocity.

Unison Detune

The Unison Detune parameter sets the range of frequency divergence of Unison voices from 0% to 100%. The higher the value the more atonal Unison mode will be. Modulating this parameter can add evolving dissonance to your sound.

Unison Button

Enables or disables Unison mode. This button is only available in Mono or Legato Voice Modes. Enabling Unison will play multiple voices (matching the Voice Count number) in unison when a note is triggered. Unison voices also adhere to the panning parameters below, allowing huge walls of sound to be created with just a few clicks.

Pan Spread

The Pan spread parameter determines the width of the patch within the stereo field from 0% to 100%. At 0% voices will be centred with no panning. As the percentage is increased voices will be spread out within the stereo field based on the Pan Mode chosen.

Modulating this parameter with sources such as envelopes or LFOs can create powerful stereo movement in your patches.

Pan Mode

MAP features three different Pan Modes which will place voices in the stereo field:
