When the SEM is first initialised, it opens in its basic state and is dominated by the main front panel controls which largely echo the original hardware SEM. There are, however, several changes that you can make to suit both your available screen real estate, and your desired working method.
On a Mac, move your mouse to the bottom right of the SEM and drag the window to the required size. When you next open the SEM it will retain that chosen size.
On a PC you can drag the sides of the SEM window to the desired size. Again, the next time you open the SEM it will retain that chosen size.
In the header bar is the Flip icon. Clicking on this will flip the SEM’s front panel and reveal the additional controls included on the SEM rear panel.

In the header bar you’ll find the Extend icon. Clicking on this will expand the SEM so that all the controls can be seen on the interface.
If you want to resize the Extended interface you simply head back to the Interface Resize area and drag to suit. Again, the next time you open the SEM it will retain the Extended view and the chosen size.

The Patch Name Display window displays the name of the currently active patch. Clicking it will open the patch browser.
Double-clicking a knob will return it to its default position. Most commonly this is in the off or 0 position.
Holding down the shift key will allow you to fine-adjust any knob for super detailed control. The key must be held down before you click the knob.
