CC Button

This activates the MIDI CC window of the SEM where you assign MIDI controller numbers to various SEM parameters in order to control them from physical knobs or sliders on an external hardware device. Once this mode is activated, you can click on the parameter you wish to control and move the external knob or slider with which you wish to control it. The assignment is ‘learned’ and you will see the CC number assigned to that knob. That knob or slider will now control the movement of that SEM parameter.

Tempo Control

tempo.svg

When running as a standalone application, this controls the tempo that all sync’d operations conform to - including arpeggiator, LFO and delays. To adjust the tempo, click and drag up or down to a maximum of 360 BPM and a minimum of 30 BPM.

When running in a host DAW the tempo displays the current tempo of the host and it cannot be adjusted here.

Tune Control

With a default value of 440Hz this display indicates the SEM’s global tuning. By clicking and holding on the display while moving your mouse up or down, you can apply a global tuning of anywhere between 430Hz and 450Hz. Double-clicking returns the value to the default of 440Hz.

<aside> ⚠️ This control is also duplicated on the main instrument GUI
