The VCF Envelope controls the filter cutoff position via the Filter Modulation Knob on the Filter (VCF) over time.

Typically, an envelope executes once when you play a note. However, when set to "Free" or "Retrig" modes, the envelope’s attack and decay stages will loop continuously. In "Retrig" mode, the envelope restarts each time the note is pressed. In "Free" mode, all envelopes synchronize to the first note pressed, looping independently of subsequent notes.
