MAP’s Colour effect uses a crossover filter and two independent sets of effects to play with the tone and character of your sound. The sound is split in to high and low frequencies with these two bands being sent through two separate sets of effects.
The Preset bar at the top of the Colour section allows you to cycle through presets using the left and right arrows and load a preset by clicking on the title text.
Upon clicking the text a drop down menu appears allowing you to select from the Factory or User preset lists, saved presets appear in the User section.
You can save the current Colour configuration by clicking the Save icon at the right hand end of the Preset Bar. Here you can name the Preset for recalling in future patches.
With the Lock enabled Colour’s settings become fixed, even if you change patches. This allows you to try out your current effect settings with other sounds.
Determines whether the Colour effect is enabled or not.
The Pre/Post switch determines Colour’s position in the FX chain. When set to Pre Colour is placed before Time and Space, when set to Post Colour is placed after Time and Space, being applied to them.
Sets the frequency of the crossover filter, high frequencies are effected by the parameters on the left, low frequencies are effected by the parameters on the right.
As the Dust effect is increased it introduces crackling noise in to the signal path and also applies that noise as stereo volume modulation.
As the Crisp effect is increased it applies a bitcrusher to the sound while also altering the character of the crossover filter.
As the Press effect is increased the signal is pushed in to a soft limiter/compressor. The parameters of this compression change as the value is increased.
