With the Lock enabled the Arpeggiator’s settings become fixed, even if you change patches. This allows you to try out your current Arpeggiator settings with other sounds.
MAP’s Arpeggiator has two modes, a standard Arp that produces consistent, predictable results and a Generative Arp which is great for exploring polyrhythms.
The Rate parameter determines the rate of the Arpeggiator, which is set in measures relative to the current tempo, sourced either from the footer Tempo parameter when using the standalone application or your host when using the plugin.
The Rate ranges from 1/1 to 1/32.
The Swing parameter delays the even notes of the arpeggiator adding rhythmic variation to arpeggios. It ranges from 0% to 100%, gradually increasing the delay time as it is increased.
The Gate Length parameter determines the length of the notes in an arpeggio as a percentage of its Rate. It ranges from 10% to 100%. At 100% there is no gap between notes and the release stage of envelopes will not be triggered.
The Scale parameter allows you to lock arpeggio notes within a scale using a pop up menu. First select the root note and then scale type. The available Scale Types are:
